What are the types of mirrors?

1、 Flat mirror

Flat mirrors are the most common type of mirror that reflect incident light in parallel, generating a clear and realistic image. Widely used in daily life and industrial production, such as bathroom mirrors and wall decoration mirrors in households. Its structure is simple, easy to use, and inexpensive.

2、 Concave mirror

The characteristic of a concave mirror is that the reflected light is focused towards the central focal point of the mirror, forming an enlarged image. Due to its focusing effect, it is often used in car lights, telescopes, and forehead mirrors for doctors to examine the throat. At the same time, in ancient times, concave mirrors were also used to make solar cookers for cooking food.

3、 Convex mirror

The reflected light of a convex mirror disperses around the mirror, forming a dispersed image. Its characteristic is that it can expand the field of view and is often used in road traffic safety facilities, such as rearview mirrors at road turns. In addition, convex mirrors are also used in lighting design to produce special light and shadow effects.

4、 Optical glass mirror

Optical glass mirrors have excellent transparency and imaging clarity, and are widely used in fields such as professional photography and microscopic observation. It is made of high-quality glass or special optical glass, with advantages such as light weight and shock resistance, making it easy to carry and use. In addition, optical glass mirrors can also be used in fields such as laboratories and medical devices.

5、 Metal coated mirror

The surface of the metal coated mirror is coated with a thin metal film to reflect light and form an image. It has high reflectivity and good durability, and is widely used in various mirror products. In addition, metal coating technology can also be applied to other optical devices, such as lenses and prisms. This type of mirror is commonly used in fields such as photography and art exhibitions.
