Treatment method of glass edging processing The method of polishing the surface of glass

Processing methods for glass edge grinding

Glass edging goes through many processes There are 3 to 9 times

1. First, use a diamond edge grinding wheel with a metal bonding agent, and then use coarse, medium, and fine in sequence. 325 is already fine This is a rough modification of the properties, and it is normal for the edges to collapse

2. Then use a resin bonded diamond edge grinding wheel to grind the sandblasted surface without any broken edges Normally, you can use it by doing it here

Sometimes I hope the edges are polished like a mirror This requires the use of polishing wheels, no longer diamond, but low hardness polishing abrasives such as iron oxide and cerium oxide

If 3000 mesh is used for water grinding in the second step, it will be almost transparent

There is a specialized glass edging machine that has been equipped with all the necessary wheels (a machine with 5 types of wheels is called a 5-head machine, a machine with 9 types is called a 9-head machine, and so on) The glass was pushed in from one side, passed through all the wheels one by one, and when it came out from the other side of the machine, it was already polished to a mirror like shine

If you don't have a specialized machine and use a grinder to grind, you can directly use a 60 mesh metal bond diamond edge grinding wheel to grind the shape, and then use a 150-325 mesh resin bond diamond edge grinding wheel to remove large scratches. This way, it is almost ready for use If you want a smooth and transparent edge, then apply a polishing wheel

Methods for polishing glass surfaces

There are two types of agricultural production systems: mechanical polishing and chemical polishing

Mechanical polishing: Use a polishing machine equipped with glass polishing wheels to dip glass polishing powder into the glass surface for polishing. The operation process is the same as other polishing methods

Chemical polishing: Polishing the surface of glass with a chemical solution (usually hydrofluoric acid solution). There are two methods of operation: soaking tank method (soaking the entire glass in the solution tank for 2-3 hours, then cleaning it, used for simultaneous polishing of both sides of the glass) and single-sided soaking method (pasting a protective film on the unpolished surface of the glass, attaching a water stopper to the edge with tape, and pouring the solution onto the glass surface after the glass is flat. The height should not be less than 3 millimeters and should be as uniform as possible for 2-3 hours, and then cleaning it thoroughly)
