How to distinguish between tempered glass and ordinary glass？

1. Most tempered glass deep processing manufacturers have their own tempered glass labels, some of which are their own trademarks, some are "horizontal tempered", and some are "TEMPERED"; This tempered glass label is printed on glass using high-temperature ink through screen printing. During the process of glass tempering, the high-temperature ink binds to the surface of the glass. Therefore, the tempered glass label cannot be removed without wiping with hydrofluoric acid (even if hydrofluoric acid is used, it will leave obvious marks) Therefore, a simple and direct way to check whether the glass has been tempered is to look for a tempered glass label

2. Carefully observe the edges of the glass. Generally speaking, tempered glass does not have small gaps. Even if it does, you can feel that the gaps are "softer" than those of ordinary glass when touched by hand. However, ordinary glass often has certain small gaps on the edges, and the gaps are sharp

3. Look at the glass with your eyes against the sun's light (you can't put anything behind the glass). If it's tempered, there will be a misty layer, but if it's not tempered, it's transparent

4. Knocking on the glass with fingertips produces a clear sound of tempered steel, while a dull sound is of non tempered steel

5. Shattered, due to the fact that after tempered glass is broken, the fragments will break into uniform small particles without the common sharp corners of glass blades. Whether the glass becomes small particles or blades after being broken is the main difference between tempered glass and ordinary glass But in engineering inspections, it is undoubtedly unrealistic to constantly use such destructive inspections
