Methods to reduce self explosion of tempered glass

1. Preferred flat glass. High quality flat glass has low content of stones, bubbles, impurities, and nickel sulfide. Using high-quality flat glass as the raw material for making tempered glass can significantly reduce the self explosion of tempered glass.

2. Improve the processing quality of tempered glass edges to avoid scratches and bumps on the glass edges and surfaces.

3. Improve the uniformity of surface stress and symmetry along the thickness direction of tempered glass.

4. Explore the possibility of reducing the compressive stress limit of tempered glass.

5. Increase the application of homogeneous tempered glass and study methods for detecting the degree of homogenization of tempered glass, in order to initiate the homogenization process.

6. Reducing the total application of tempered glass and increasing the application of semi tempered glass and laminated glass can reduce the number of self explosions of tempered glass. It goes without saying that as the total application of tempered glass decreases, the number of self explosions of tempered glass will also decrease.

7. Reducing the size of tempered glass surface can lower the self explosion rate of tempered glass. The larger the size of tempered glass, the thicker the glass plate, and the higher the probability of self explosion.

In practical engineering, the use area of tempered glass is becoming larger and larger. For tempered glass with large surface, not only is the relative value of its curvature required, but also the absolute value of its curvature should be required to reduce the assembly stress of tempered glass and avoid self explosion after long-term use.
