Do you know how mirrors are made by looking in the mirror every day?

Production raw materials
The raw material for producing mirrors is ordinary glass products, and the finished glass is transported to the production line through a roller conveyor.

Surface polishing
The first step is glass polishing. The raw material used for glass polishing is polishing powder, which is mixed with water in a certain proportion, with a general suspension of about 1.2.

Sprinkle the polishing solution on the glass and rotate the rear axis to polish the glass. The material selected on the rotation axis is generally pig hair.

After polishing, the glass follows the roller conveyor into the cleaning process, and uses a high-pressure water gun to clean the polishing solution on the glass.

Silver plating process
The current mirror has a thin layer of silver on the back. This layer of silver is not coated or electroplated, it is coated through a chemical "silver mirror reaction".

Add glucose water to the ammonia solution of silver nitrate, and glucose reduces invisible silver ions into silver particles, which are deposited on glass to form a silver mirror. Evenly sprinkle the solution onto the mirror, and the solution reacts chemically with the mirror. Finally, clean the residue

After cleaning, the lens enters the high-temperature baking process through the roller conveyor, as the next step is the painting process, water will affect the painting quality.

Painting process
The final step is to apply paint onto the glass mirror surface. Let's first take a look at how it is painted. A thin layer of viscous paint water is sprinkled directly on the passing glass. Layer after layer, and the final layer of paint - silver gray - is applied, just like the previous principle. The last layer of paint has been brushed. The paint is thoroughly solidified by high-temperature baking in the middle.

In this way, the entire mirror is completed.
